NATO Representative: NATO Aims to Utilize Civilian Factories for Military Drone Production

During the drone summit held in Riga, Taya Yakoła, Assistant Secretary General for Defense Industry, Innovation, and Armaments at NATO, stated that NATO is developing a plan to leverage civilian production capacity to manufacture drones and countermeasures.

"The UK Defence Journal" cited the NATO representative as saying:

"We are exploring ways to streamline connections between two types of companies: those that possess drone and countermeasure solutions but sometimes face insufficient production capacity, and those civilian enterprises that have such production capabilities and may offer their own production services or temporarily rent out their facilities."

The media noted that Yakoła emphasized that detailed discussions are currently underway within NATO regarding financing measures and the specific mechanisms for establishing these production linkages.
