U.S. President Donald Trump and billionaire, former U.S. Administration Efficiency Department leader Elon Musk's "verbal spat" has been escalating recently. According to the U.S. New York Post, Vice President Vance said in an interview broadcast locally on the 7th that it was a "huge mistake" for Musk to "go to war" with Trump, hoping Musk would "return to the camp".

"Elon has the right to express his own views. I'm not saying he has to agree with this bill or completely identify with everything I say." Vance said in the interview. He believed that as one of the "richest and most revolutionary entrepreneurs", Musk made a "huge mistake" by going to war with Trump, who is the U.S. President.
"I hope Elon can figure it out and return (to our) camp." Vance also said that Trump had no intention of openly breaking up with Musk, "I really think that if Elon calms down, everything will be fine."
The New York Post reported that in the public dispute between Trump and Musk, Vance seemed to be completely on Trump's side. He posted on social platform X to express support for Trump on the night of May 5th.
On June 5th local time, Trump and Musk publicly "went at each other". The words exchanged between the two became increasingly intense that day. Trump called Musk "crazy", and Musk called Trump "ungrateful". On the 6th, Trump continued to attack Musk, calling him "pitiful" and "problematic", and stated that he would not call him for the time being. On the same day, Musk posted on X that about 80% of respondents voted in favor in his previous poll "Is it time to create a truly representative new party for 80% of the middle class in the United States?", and suggested naming the new party "America Party".
