On October 9th, Avita Technology officially issued a statement through social media regarding a fire incident involving an Avita 06 that occurred on October 5th at the parking lot of Dongbi Village in Sansha Town, Xiapu County, Ningde City, Fujian Province.

The statement said, according to the latest feedback from local relevant departments: the fire occurred at the passenger seat position, and during the fire, the voltage, temperature, and pressure of the battery pack were normal, excluding faults in the power battery, drive motor, and high-voltage electrical control system as causes of the fire. Other possible causes of the fire are still under further investigation by the relevant departments.
On the afternoon of October 5th, an Avita 06 suddenly caught fire while parked at the aforementioned location. After receiving the alarm, the Fire Rescue Command Center immediately dispatched fire trucks to the scene for firefighting. At around 3:35 PM, the fire was extinguished, and multiple cars at the scene were burned.
Avita stated that its team arrived at the scene immediately to assist the user in dealing with the issue and support the relevant authorities in handling the fire. Avita will fully assist the owner in properly handling subsequent matters.
