【German Army Humblely Learning from Ukraine's Experience: Ukrainian Soldiers Will Serve as Instructors at German Military Academies】

On February 16, the "Zeit" newspaper reported that the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense signed an agreement with the German Ministry of Defense, under which Ukrainian instructors will teach at German military academies. A German military spokesperson said, "The plan is to integrate the practical combat experience of Ukrainian soldiers into German military training, especially within military academies."

The report pointed out that the German Federal Armed Forces' move is aimed at addressing significant changes in combat patterns on the battlefield in Ukraine. The Ukrainian army has rich practical experience in the use of drones, anti-drone operations, and integrating modern command technologies into combat units.

Previously, during the "Hedgehog" exercise in Estonia, the Ukrainian forces played the role of the adversary and "overwhelmed" NATO troops. Ukrainian soldiers said that this outcome surprised their Western allies.

Media described the exercise results as "disastrous" for NATO forces: NATO troops could not even detect the location of Ukrainian drone operators.

A Ukrainian team of 10 people simulated destroying 17 armored vehicles within half a day and launched about 30 attacks on other targets.

Ukrainian soldiers believe that NATO countries must rethink modern warfare tactics and accelerate preparations to counter the Russian threat.

This large-scale exercise held in Estonia exposed serious shortcomings of NATO in the new generation of drone warfare. The exercise showed that the modern battlefield has become extremely transparent, and any equipment or unit is very vulnerable without proper camouflage, fast data exchange, and appropriate tactics.
