Foreign media: In the 2025 ranking of the world's largest arms importers, Saudi Arabia leads with a 9.1% share, followed closely by India at 8.6%, Ukraine (6.8%) and Poland (6.5%) in third and fourth places, reflecting military expansion driven by the Russia-Ukraine conflict and European security anxieties.

Europe as a whole accounts for 39.9% of global arms imports, making it the largest importing region. Japan (5.1%), Germany (4.9%), Indonesia (3.8%), and others also rank among the top ten. Although the United States is a major arms exporter, it still imports 2.2% of the global share; China holds 0.6%, ranking 37th.

The Middle East and Asia continue to dominate demand, while Europe, due to geopolitical tensions, is accelerating its military capability development.
