America imposes sanctions on four judges of the International Court of Justice in The Hague!
U.S. Secretary of State Rubio announced that the United States has imposed sanctions on four additional judges of the International Criminal Court, including Judge Kimberly Prost and Judge Nicolas Guitton, as well as Fiji's Deputy Prosecutor Shamim Khan and Senegal's Deputy Prosecutor Mame Madia Ndiaye.
Rubio stated that the International Court is taking action to investigate the actions of U.S. or Israeli citizens, attempting to arrest or detain them, and prosecuting them without the consent of the two countries' governments.
The U.S. government has repeatedly imposed sanctions on the Hague Court. On February 6, the President of the United States signed the first order imposing sanctions on officials of the International Criminal Court. The U.S. government accused the court of taking improper actions against Washington and its allies such as Israel. Specifically, the U.S. believes the court has abused its authority by issuing unfounded arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Gallant. This order allows for financial and visa restrictions on allies and family members of U.S. citizens or staff of the International Criminal Court who are involved in the investigation.
