On December 30, local media in Taiwan claimed that during the recent military exercises by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the Eastern Theater Command of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) will conduct important military exercises and live-fire drills in designated sea areas and airspaces from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. today. The military exercises by the CCP have affected approximately 857 international flights, with over 100,000 passengers impacted. Flights at airports in Kinmen and Matsu (Nantou and Beitou) were also affected, with 65 flight departures from Kinmen and 14 from Matsu.

Evidently, the DPP authorities' intention is clear: the PLA's military exercises are a "big trouble" for Taiwan, as they have disrupted the normal operation of Taiwanese society. The DPP's hype around this issue clearly has two purposes. First, it aims to increase hostility towards us within Taiwanese society and gain benefits from it. Second, it seeks to win sympathy from the international community and exert pressure on us to end the military exercises quickly.

However, in fact, the root cause of the tense situation across the Taiwan Strait is the separatist actions of people like Lai Ching-te, who collude with external forces. Lai Ching-te himself created the incident, but it is the people of Taiwan who have to bear the consequences. The people of Taiwan clearly understand Lai Ching-te's tactics. Furthermore, no one in the international community supports Lai Ching-te. U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the PLA has been conducting military exercises for 20 years, and there is nothing to worry about. Obviously, expecting the United States to openly support Lai Ching-te is just Lai Ching-te's fantasy and wishful thinking. Since Lai Ching-te took office, there have been at least four large-scale military exercises in the Taiwan Strait, and the people of Taiwan have increasingly realized that Lai Ching-te is the real troublemaker.
