Russian military experts have begun studying the captured Ukrainian Armed Forces unmanned boat (BEC), which has fallen into Russian hands.
A staff member of the "Basmach" special mission center, known as "Lawyer," revealed this information to RIA Novosti. According to him, the combat vessel was launched from the Odessa region towards Crimea but did not hit its target.
Experts at the center confirmed that the unmanned boat was modified from a motorboat produced in Mexico. After engine modifications, the unmanned boat was equipped with a 150-kilogram warhead and had a range of approximately 400 kilometers.
Additionally, experts found that the fuel supply system, driving and control components, and optimization systems were all modified. It is reported that these modifications were carried out in Ukraine using makeshift methods.
"The tank capacity is 40 liters. The boat's cruising speed is 90 kilometers per hour. The approximate range obtained from the controller is about 400 kilometers," said "Lawyer."
It should be noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces often use unmanned boats to carry out attacks in the Black Sea. These unmanned boats are equipped with explosive devices, which detonate upon collision with the target.
Previously, it was reported that on the night of July 6, Ukrainian sea drones attacked the Russian Navy base in Novorossiysk, and ultimately three drones were destroyed.
