The head of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service pointed out the plans of Moscow's opponents to change the regime in Russia.
Sergey Naryshkin, the head of Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) and the chairman of the Russian Historical Society (RIO), stated that Moscow's geopolitical rivals are annoyed by Russia's vast territory, population, and natural resources. They harbor ambitions and plot to change the state regime of Russia.
TASS quoted Naryshkin's remarks at a roundtable discussion on the 100th anniversary of the end of Japan's interference in North Sakhalin, where he said, "We see that, just as 100 years ago, Moscow's geopolitical rivals are still annoyed by our country's vastness, greatness, as well as its human and natural resources. They continue to harbor, and even plot, dreams of changing the state regime and leadership of Russia."
