The launch site has completed pre-launch system interconnection drills, and the Xichang Satellite Launch Center, Beijing Flight Control Center, Xi'an Satellite Control Center, Yuanwang measurement ship fleet, and various tracking stations have conducted joint control and coordination.
According to CCTV News reports, the Tianwen-2 mission plans to complete multiple exploration tasks through a single launch, including accompanying, sampling, and returning to Earth for the asteroid 2016HO3, as well as conducting accompanying exploration of the main-belt comet 311P.
