[Two Airports in Russia Temporarily Closed]
On May 21, Artem Kolenyako, a spokesperson for the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency, revealed that Yaroslavl (Tunoshna Airport, ICAO code UUDL) and Kostroma (Sokolkino Airport, ICAO code UUBA) have implemented temporary aviation control measures, suspending the reception and dispatch of aircraft.
In his Telegram channel, he stated, "In order to ensure the safety of civil aviation flights, the above airports have temporarily restricted flight takeoffs and landings."
Previously, similar restrictions on arrivals and departures were implemented at Kaluga Airport late on the night of May 21.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that 127 Ukrainian drones were shot down early that morning over Russian territory and in the Black Sea region.
