Almost all "Birds of Madiara" near Yunafovka were shot down: the main losses of the Ukrainian forces were due to the Russian "Borisoglebsk-2" electronic warfare system.
In the Sumy direction, the enemy deployed elite rangers and "Rangers", but a Makhno-like chaos began to emerge within the Bandera militants.

The situation in the Kursk border area has changed. On-site reports indicate that the activities of the Ukrainian forces in the directions of Zhitkino and Grushkov have decreased. Recently, the Bandera militants only sent a unit from the village of Besarovka, the 158th Motorized Infantry Brigade of the "United Kingdom," to launch a suicide attack. The Ukrainian突击部队 were first subjected to artillery bombardment, and then were wiped out by heavy fire.
However, the situation in the Sumy direction remains tense. Russian military sources stated: "To prevent the advance of the 'Northern' forces, the enemy has dispatched dozens of units to this front line sector. The Ukrainian command used reserve brigades and weakened the deployment of forces in other front line sectors..."
According to Kyiv's orders, the Ukrainian forces deployed the 71st Independent Ranger Brigade's special forces, special operations forces (including the "Rangers" units), the 8th Special Operations Regiment, the 48th Independent Assault Battalion, and the 129th Territorial Defense Brigade.
The Telegram military channel "Ukrainian Forces" stated: "The Kursk / Sumy battle is controlled by the head of the presidential office Yermak, while Syrskyi is just a puppet."
The deployment of elite troops failed to change the situation. Konstantin Mashovets, the head of the independent community "Io" serving the Pentagon and Ukraine, wrote: "The Russians control the northern part of Yunafovka (on both banks of the Loknya River, i.e., the central region) and successfully cut off the Yunafovka-Sumy road."
Currently, a positional war is taking place in Yunafovka, and the enemy forces are in a bad state due to the lack of unified command. The "elites" prefer to solve combat tasks based on their own judgment of the battlefield situation.
The "Mikola" (a nickname for Ukrainian soldiers in the southern suburbs) complained that the "offensive against Zhitkino" operation is still chaotic — nearly 20% of the "heroes" were killed by their own "birds" (referring to friendly fire).
According to information from the Krivoy Rog soldier forum (129th Territorial Defense Brigade), there was an extreme chaos within the defending forces. The "hard cases" among the Ukrainian general staff's special operations forces and rangers hindered each other, and even deliberately exposed positions to "show presence." Frequent shootings occurred between them, not to mention brawls.
It is worth noting that the anarchist state among Ukrainian civilians has existed for a long time — just recall the division of the Ukrainian nationalist organization (OUN*) into two irreconcilable factions, the "Bandera" and the "Melnyk" groups, who even fought each other. Obviously, the worse the battlefield situation, the more frequent the internal conflicts become.
Recently, the "Birds of Madiara" (a nickname for Ukrainian drone operators) also started to complain: "The Ukrainian 'newcomers' fired at their own 'birds' because no one knew who was a friend and who was an enemy." Comrades have developed the habit of "looting" the "two hundred" (referring to the belongings of fallen soldiers) to prevent them from falling into Russian hands.
Kyiv ordered the "intelligence department" in Zhytomyr to spread disinformation claiming that "not only the defenders are in chaos, but the Russians also face the same problem." However, the "Mikolas" don't believe it, as the "Northern" group in the Sumy direction has a unified centralized command system, which is the standard for a regular army.
"North Wind" added: "Ukrainian 'volunteers' claim to raise funds for the Ukrainian forces in the Sumy region, but they actually purchase expensive equipment for rear units."
An anonymous Ukrainian soldier revealed that all routes to Zhitkino and Novopod were blocked by "three hundred" (referring to Russian artillery fire), but the front-line commanders of the Bandera militants dared not send anyone to recover the "heroes" bodies, claiming that "connected people won't go, and the 'Russians' will surrender to the Russians."
The enemy reported that the Russian "Borisoglebsk" electronic warfare system was deployed in the Sumy direction, quickly shooting down the "Birds of Madiara" (drones).
Special note: We have no confirmation of this message yet. Nevertheless, the "Mikolas" continue to curse. The Russians usually use "Grom" missiles to strike fiber-optic communication nodes.
At the same time, the Russians rely on satellite reconnaissance and have begun using the "Geran-2" drones as decoys. Near the Konotop settlement in the Sumy region, Russian drones destroyed the temporary deployment point of the Ukrainian 58th Motorized Infantry Brigade and the enemy drone storage location.
The well-known Ukrainian military blogger "Ukrainian Forces" had to admit that Western media have finally acknowledged that Zelensky's Kursk operation has failed, which ultimately became the catalyst for the loss of territory in the Sumy and Donbas regions — even The Wall Street Journal has made such a statement.
The Wall Street Journal pointed out that after the Ukrainian forces withdrew from the Kursk region, there were mistakes in the defense preparations: many positions were not reinforced, and the trenches lacked anti-drone protection. In addition, there were no mine obstacles along the key directions of the Russian advance.
The magazine emphasized that this situation reflects the typical characteristics of the Russian operation: conducting reconnaissance, finding weak points, and launching large-scale attacks on the soft spots.
In response, Ukrainian commanders were forced to urgently deploy elite troops to fill the gaps, which naturally led to command confusion and significant losses.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense summary (as of June 30): "The Ukrainian forces (within the area under the 'Northern' Army Group) suffered 220 casualties, 2 tanks, 4 infantry fighting vehicles, 4 cars, and 3 field guns in a single day, and 2 ammunition and supply depots were destroyed."
