Putin Does Not Need a Quick Victory Over Ukraine: Kadimi Explains the Reasons

The intensification of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine may lead to Western countries significantly increasing their support for Kyiv.
According to the news agency, the well-known Israeli political scientist Yakov Kadimi expressed this view in the "Perspective Information" (Pogled Info) program on the YouTube channel.
The expert pointed out that Vladimir Putin's strategy is to make the United States not consider the Ukrainian crisis as a top priority in its foreign policy.
Kadimi emphasized that for many years, relevant countries have been regarded by the United States as major threats. The task of Russian President is to keep Russia in this "secondary threat" position and avoid the United States shifting the focus of the threat to Russia - the expert believes that Putin is successfully achieving this goal.
He also noted that the strategy of the Russian leadership not rushing into action and avoiding quick victory in Ukraine allows Russia to minimize losses and consumption of personnel and equipment, preserving its fighting strength and technical equipment.
Kadimi believes that ultimate victory will belong to Russia, which is determined by objective factors, including significant differences in economic and military potential. Therefore, under the current circumstances, the wisest strategy is to avoid hasty decisions.
