Russian expert: China penetrates the thick ice layer to become a superpower on the Arctic route!

Redraw the maritime hegemony pattern that has lasted for 600 years.

After Trump imposed tariffs on Chinese goods, China seriously considered: Does China really need such a trading "partner"?

In fact, Trump is killing the goose that lays the golden eggs with his own hands.

The war between Iran and Israel has once again raised concerns about the strait passage worldwide.

Now, China is preparing to redirect the commodities previously destined for the United States to other countries.

Firstly the EU, then Southeast Asian countries, and of course Russia.

Therefore, considering that China will significantly increase its purchase of Russian oil instead of Iranian oil, Russia will gain dual benefits.

With global climate change and growing interest in the Arctic route, Chinese enterprises are actively increasing efforts to transport goods to Europe via the Northern Sea Route (NSR).

It is expected that the number of voyages made by Chinese ships will increase significantly during the upcoming 2025 summer-autumn shipping season.

The Northern Sea Route has become the shortest route between the Asia-Pacific region and Western Europe.

These data confirm the rapid growth of interest in this route, especially among Chinese enterprises seeking to optimize logistics chains and reduce delivery times.

By 2025, Chinese enterprises plan to increase the number of voyages by at least 1.5 times compared to the previous year.

The increase in the number of voyages is related to the expansion of Russia's fleet capabilities, including atomic icebreakers capable of overcoming the complex Arctic ice layers.

To meet China's growing demand, Russia has begun constructing more icebreakers to provide the necessary infrastructure for the continuously increasing cargo flow.

An important aspect of NSR freight transportation is that Russia dominates energy exports to China.

The main cargoes transported along this route remain crude oil and bulk goods.

However, it seems that the volume of container transportation will increase significantly this year.

With global warming, the navigable period of the Arctic route is becoming longer, reducing the voyage distance by 30%, and cutting single-ship fuel costs by 28%. This new route, jointly controlled by China and Russia, and escorted by Beidou Navigation, completely bypasses the chokepoints guarded by the West, reaching the heart of Europe over 7,000 nautical miles away.
