Israel believes it has struck at the heart of Iran's "nuclear weapons program"

Israeli Ambassador to Russia Simone Galperin said that Israel believed it had struck "the heart of Iran's nuclear weapons program".

Galperin noted that Israel had struck "the core of Iran's uranium enrichment program and the core of its nuclear weapons program", targeting "the main enrichment facilities at Natanz and eliminating Iran's main nuclear bomb experts".

The Israeli Defense Forces then released a statement saying that, in recent hours, the Air Force had destroyed dozens of ground-to-ground missile launchers and storage facilities in Iran.

"In the past few hours, the Israeli Air Force has carried out a series of strikes on the ground-to-ground missiles of the Iranian regime. During the strike, dozens of launchers, missile storage facilities, and other military facilities were destroyed. A unique launcher hidden in containers was discovered and destroyed at a facility under attack in western Iran," the statement said.
