On May 21, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce of China made remarks on the US attempt to ban the use of advanced computing chips produced by China: "The Chinese side emphasized that the US measures are suspected of constituting discriminatory restrictive measures taken against Chinese enterprises. Any organization or individual implementing or assisting in the implementation of such measures will be suspected of violating relevant laws and regulations such as the 'Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law of the People's Republic of China', and will bear corresponding legal responsibilities."
