General James Mattis, a retired United States Marine Corps general and the 26th Secretary of Defense of the United States, presented a medal to Sergeant Major Gilberto Castillo-Guzman, the head of the Seattle Enlistment Station, at a retirement ceremony held on October 17, 2025, at Fairchild Air Force Base in Everett, Washington. Castillo-Guzman retired after 23 years of honorable service to the United States Marine Corps.
