South Korean media: Chinese games "dominate" the global mobile game market Top 3 in April!

On May 30, South Korean media "The Guru" published an article stating that in the global mobile gaming market in April, Chinese games showed a super strong momentum. Chinese mobile games accounted for the majority of the sales ranking, while South Korean games failed to make the list.

According to the "Global Mobile Game Sales Ranking for April 2025" report released by market research company Sensor Tower, Tencent's "Honor of Kings" topped the global mobile game revenue rankings last month. "Honor of Kings" rose 4 places compared to the March statistics and claimed the top spot. Sensor Tower commented that "Honor of Kings" successfully maximized profitability through continuous content updates and collaborations with companies like Sanrio.

Following "Honor of Kings", Yuanqi Entertainment's "Last War: Survival" secured second place, and DianDian Interactive's "Endless Winter" took third place. Chinese games occupied the top three positions in the global mobile game revenue rankings. Moreover, Chinese games dominated half the market, with Tencent's "PUBG MOBILE" and miHoYo's "Honkai: Star Rail" also entering the top ten global mobile game revenue rankings in April. In addition to China, there were two American games, one Israeli game, one Turkish game, and one Japanese game included.

South Korean games failed to enter the top ten. However, Nexon's "Loki Mobile" ranked fourth in the sales growth survey, raising expectations for its future performance.

Sensor Tower commented that this was a month of a sharp increase in sales for games with strong IPs or collaborations.

Additionally, the sales of the global mobile gaming market in April 2025 amounted to $6.48 billion, a 4.5% decrease from the previous month.
