Thailand returned the remains of 12 fallen Cambodian soldiers to their homeland.

At 4:30 p.m. on July 27, the Thai military handed over the remains of 12 Cambodian soldiers who died in combat in the Phum Mek region to the Cambodian side.

Cambodia received the remains at a permanent border crossing between the two countries and held a mourning ceremony. Representatives from both Thailand and Cambodia jointly paid tribute to the soldiers who died in battle, as their sacrifice, regardless of which side they were on, demonstrated noble and dignified dedication to their country.
