Elon Musk, Expelled from Trump's Team, Criticizes Ex-Boss

Elon Musk and Donald Trump.
The American billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk was initially appointed by President Donald Trump as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) upon moving into the White House. However, his authority was significantly reduced later. Recently, he publicly criticized his former boss, expressing disappointment with the so-called "one great and only excellent budget-cutting bill" proposed by the U.S. leader.
"To be honest, I was very disappointed when I saw this massive spending bill. It actually increased the budget deficit instead of reducing it and undermined the work done by the DOGE team," Musk told CBS News in an interview.
According to TASS, fragments of the interview have already been broadcast, and the full version will air on June 1st.
The "one great and only excellent bill" referred to by Trump plans for significant tax cuts and government spending reductions in multiple areas but also stipulates an increase in defense expenditures, particularly for the creation of the "Golden Dome" missile defense system. Additionally, the bill includes measures to strengthen border control and plans for increased funding in this area.
On May 22nd, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the bill. After approval by the Senate, it will be submitted to the president for signing.
In April this year, Musk announced that he would reduce his involvement in the work of the American Government Efficiency Improvement Department (DOGE) starting in May.
