[By Guancha Observer Network, Liu Chenghui] Will Trump and Musk reconcile?
As American entrepreneur Elon Musk expressed "regret" over his previous remarks last week, U.S. President Donald Trump also stated in a podcast interview that he "might" reconcile with Musk, but it was not the top priority at present.
On June 11 local time, the first interview of Trump by the podcast "Pod Force One" hosted by Miranda Devine, columnist of the New York Post, was released.
"Listen, I have no grudges against him," Trump said on the program when talking about his relationship with Musk. "I am really surprised that this happened. He opposed a very good bill (referring to the 'Build Back Better' Act)... Actually, I think he feels very regretful about his own remarks," Trump added.

When the host mentioned that "it seems that Musk regards you as a father figure," Trump admitted: "I am disappointed in him, but you know, that's how things go."
"Such things happen, and similar things always happen. I don't blame him for anything, I'm just a bit disappointed."
Regarding whether they might restore their good relationship, Trump replied: "I think it's possible, but we must first put the country in order. My only responsibility now is to make this country reach its peak again, even stronger than before. I believe we can do it."
Trump previously told CNN that Musk "has some problems."
In response, Devine asked Trump: "What kind of problems do you mean when you say he has problems? Is it drugs?"
"I really don't know what problem he has, honestly I don't know," Trump answered. "Recently, I haven't been thinking much about him, but that bill was indeed very good."
The recent public rift between these former allies has drawn wide attention, with Trump's "Build Back Better" spending bill being the direct trigger.
Former "Administrator of Government Efficiency Department" Musk launched a series of attacks on the bill last week, criticizing it for significantly increasing government spending, calling it "intolerable," "enormous, ridiculous, and nauseating."
On June 5, after Musk's attacks entered the third day, Trump finally stepped in and the two completely fell out.
That day, Trump first said he was "disappointed" in Musk, then posted three tweets in a row, angrily denouncing Musk for "going crazy" for his own electric vehicle business, and threatening to terminate all government contracts with Musk's companies.
Later, Musk hinted that Trump had ties to Epstein's case and even retweeted posts calling for Trump's impeachment.
On June 9, Trump responded to Musk's alleged drug use, saying: "I really don't know, I don't think so, I hope not."
However, after the outbreak of riots in Los Angeles, the verbal spat between Trump and Musk eased somewhat.
In response to the protests in Los Angeles, Musk seemed to stand together with Trump. On the X platform, he re-posted two statements from Trump regarding the protests in Los Angeles on the 8th. He also posted a photo of protesters bare-chested waving Mexican flags, with the caption "This is not okay."
At 1 a.m. on the 11th, Musk posted on the X platform saying he regretted some of the posts he made last week targeting Trump, adding that "they were too harsh."
