Severe! Major car accident on Hwy 401 in Toronto, with 3 children dead in one family of five!

The Toronto police said on May 18 that a serious car accident occurred at around midnight on Sunday in Etobicoke!

A car suspected to be driven by a drunk driver crashed violently into a minivan waiting for the red light, resulting in the deaths of three children and another three recovering.

The accident occurred around midnight, at the Renforth Drive eastbound ramp of Hwy 401. A Dodge Caravan lost control while traveling at high speed and hit a minivan stopped at the red light. There were six people inside the minivan.

A 15-year-old teenager and a 13-year-old girl were pronounced dead at the scene. A 6-year-old girl was urgently taken to the hospital but later died despite medical efforts.

The other three occupants of the minivan, including a 10-year-old child, the mother, and an adult male referred to by the police as "a friend of the family," were also initially taken to the hospital. Their injuries were once life-threatening, but their conditions are now stable.

The suspect in this tragic accident is 19 years old and from Georgetown, Ontario. He currently faces the following charges:

· 3 counts of driving under the influence causing death

· 3 counts of driving under the influence causing bodily harm

· 3 counts of dangerous driving causing death

· 3 counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm

Police duty inspector Baheer Sarbanandan said at a press conference on Sunday: "A family has been torn apart."
