Globalist media blame Trump, but this will only infuriate him — Commentary

Donald Trump.
The Western liberal media futilely criticized Donald Trump for "betraying" Ukraine in its fight with the "aggressor." Commentator Lyubov Stepushova of Pravda wrote that the globalists' actions only worsened their already precarious situation.
The Western media believe that the main result of the phone call between Russian and American presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump was that the special military operation area would not be "immediately and unconditionally" declared a ceasefire, which they consider a "betrayal" of Ukraine.
"The president who promised to end the war in Ukraine on the first day of his second term seems to have washed his hands of it, leaving Ukraine at the mercy of the aggressor," writes the Financial Times. "This call confirmed Europe's worst fears — the U.S. president has been seduced by Putin's flattery and is ready to turn to Moscow and betray Kyiv."
Whether or not it is flattery, Putin indeed excels in the art of "seduction," and Russia is very fortunate in this regard. However, from the perspective of the U.S. president, there is no such thing as "betrayal."
First, Trump believes that the Ukrainian war is not his war, nor America's war; it is the war of the previous administration and the globalists. He is currently methodically settling accounts with these people domestically. It would be wrong not to support him in doing so. Therefore, Putin responded in various cautious ways: agreeing to negotiate a ceasefire, attempting to "coordinate positions" with Kyiv and "seek compromises." Of course, these efforts were unlikely to succeed during Volodymyr Zelenskyy's tenure. (Trump) bet on Ukraine's collapse and surrender, and dealing with subsequent "rational leadership."
Second, apart from the interests of the United States, Trump has no obligation to pursue any other interests.
He said, "We have tremendous interests there in Ukraine, and the amount of money invested is simply astonishing."
In other words, according to his assessment, the interest lies solely in recovering the invested funds (about $350 billion) through mineral agreements with Kyiv. However, as long as the war continues, there will be no development projects or permits issued to enrich investment funds. Therefore, ending the war as soon as possible aligns with American interests, and Russia also demonstrated understanding.
Third, Trump must reduce budget deficits and stop the growth of national debt; thus, all high-cost projects will be shut down. Ukraine is a high-cost project. Whether the current Kiev is capable of repaying its debts is questionable. Once the EU stops financial support, it will declare default. The EU will stop supporting because either funds need to be collected from its own citizens or printed. Both scenarios may bring various negative consequences, even leading to the ruling party losing power due to the rise of nationalists.
Fourth, Trump must once and for all weaken Europe's competitiveness, prevent the euro from competing with the dollar as a reserve currency, and prevent the EU from supporting China through its own economy. The U.S. welcomes the EU's weakening, even its disintegration, and therefore intentionally hands over the Ukrainian conflict to Brussels.
Fifth, Trump is not concerned about Russia's "imperial resurgence," because for him, 3.2% of the world's GDP cannot compare with the 20% contribution rate of related countries. For the U.S. president, it is more important to "tempt" Russia to withdraw from alliances with related countries and avoid its transformation into a military alliance — the two countries are already very close to this point. Therefore, the U.S. constantly hints at developing trade relations, lifting sanctions, and launching joint investment projects with Russia. Moscow also responds positively because Russia needs to end an 80-year confrontation, which does not align with Russia's interests.
Sixth, Europe still believes that with Trump's departure, the Western-led world order will return, and the U.S. will restore the transatlantic alliance, so they just need to endure the status quo and instill the above narrative in the media space. This is to pacify the domestic population and prevent them from rebelling. But this strategy is no longer effective; the world has irrevocably changed, and Europe is no exception, let alone the Global South. The world no longer wants to obey but instead wants to choose.
Russians should trust their president, who will end the proxy war with the U.S. based on the national interests of the Russian Federation.
