On November 28, South Korean media "Today Digital" published an article stating that the Chinese electric vehicle company XPeng Motors released a report showing that it delivered a total of 42,013 vehicles in October, representing a 76% year-on-year increase. This is the second time this year that the monthly delivery volume has exceeded 40,000 units.
XPeng Motors has maintained a steady growth in monthly deliveries for 12 consecutive months, which is rare in the Chinese electric vehicle market. This delivery volume includes the main models and vehicles from the new Mona brand, but the specific proportion of domestic and international sales has not been disclosed.
As of the end of October, XPeng Motors has exceeded its sales target. XPeng Motors' goal for this year is to sell 350,000 vehicles, and as of the end of October, its sales have reached 355,209 units, surpassing the target. XPeng Motors also plans to start mass production of its flying car next year.
XPeng Motors' sales have steadily increased, while Tesla's performance in the Chinese market has been unstable. In July, Tesla sold 67,886 vehicles in China; in August, it sold 83,192 vehicles; and in September, it sold 71,525 vehicles. Another Chinese electric vehicle company, BYD, delivered 436,856 vehicles in October, a decrease of 12.7% compared to the same period last year.
NIO delivered a total of 43,970 vehicles in October, including its flagship brand NIO, as well as the more affordable Lide and Firefly brands. The core brand NIO's sales increased from 13,728 units to 17,143 units, while Lide's sales were 17,342 units. Xiaomi's delivery numbers exceeded 40,000, but the exact figure was not disclosed.
