On June 23, several Iranian media outlets quoted a spokesperson from Qom province stating that the Fordow nuclear facility in Iran was attacked again. The semi-official Tasnim News Agency attributed this attack to Israel.
According to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), the spokesperson from Qom province stated: "It does not pose any danger or threat to the public."
Subsequently, according to The Times of Israel, the Israeli military confirmed that it had struck the access roads to the underground nuclear facility in Fordow earlier that day.
The Israeli military statement said that the strike was aimed at "hindering" Iranian personnel from entering the facility, following a U.S. bombing of the nuclear facility.
