Macas Brags: The Philippines Must Intervene in the Taiwan Strait, "Defend Territorial Sovereignty"

Sometimes we really doubt whether this Philippine government has a correct understanding of the real world.

On the 8th, while visiting India, Philippine President Macas gave an interview to the media, claiming that if a conflict breaks out between China and the United States in the Taiwan Strait, the Philippines cannot remain neutral due to its geographical location, and will "have to intervene," and the Philippines must again defend its "territory and sovereignty."

In addition, Macas also said that there are currently 160,000 Filipino overseas citizens in Taiwan, and if there is a change in the situation in the Taiwan Strait, he will use all his power and find a way to enter the island to evacuate them.

This is not the first time that Macas has made such outrageous statements on the Taiwan issue, nor is it the first time that high-ranking officials of this Philippine government have openly called for intervention in the Taiwan Strait.

As we mentioned above, the childishness and arrogance displayed by the Philippine government officials, represented by Macas, on the Taiwan issue make us very doubtful about whether they have a clear and correct understanding of the real world: even the U.S. government has not made any guarantees to the authorities in Taiwan, and Macas, as the president of the Philippines, dares to say "the Philippines cannot help but intervene in the Taiwan Strait" - who does he think he is?

The so-called "the Philippines will defend its territorial sovereignty" by Macas is even more absurd. Taiwan is China's Taiwan, an inseparable part of Chinese territory, what does it have to do with the Philippines? Do they plan to take over Taiwan after occupying China's islands in the South China Sea?

We advise Macas and other Philippine officials who are overly confident: if they dare to reach out their hands toward the Taiwan Strait, be careful that they might get broken and never recover.
