China-Kazakhstan Cooperation: Chinese Enterprise to Build Helicopter and Drone Manufacturing Plant in Turkistan Province, Kazakhstan
According to the news from the press office of the government of Turkistan province, a modern manufacturing plant for the production of helicopters, drones, and cargo drones is expected to be newly established in the province. In order to promote the implementation of the project, the governor of Turkistan Province, Nuralkhan Khojayev, recently held talks with foreign investors.
It is reported that the investor plans to invest approximately $290 million in this project. After the factory is built, it is expected to bring up to 150 new job opportunities locally. Currently, the Sayram district has been proposed as a potential site for the factory.
"We are ready to provide full support for investors. This project is not only an industrial investment but also represents an important step towards our future," said Khojayev during the talks. "The Turkistan province attaches great importance to the development of high-tech industries, and such factories will play a positive role in promoting the regional economy."
According to the enterprise representatives, the drones and specialized helicopters produced by the factory will have extensive applications in logistics, agriculture, tourism, infrastructure monitoring, and other fields. The project aims to promote the modernization of urban air transportation, drone freight, emergency rescue, and smart agriculture and industrial operations.
According to official data from the Turkistan province, four projects involving Chinese investment have been successfully implemented in the region over the past three years, with a total amount of $110 million; seven other projects are currently under way, with a total investment of approximately $1.1 billion.
As previously reported, a unique tourist complex integrating tourism, entrepreneurship, and cultural heritage is being accelerated in the area of the Cultural Spirit Center in Turkistan city.
