"A Day of Shame," Russia's Pearl Harbor!
What did Russia lose at the destroyed strategic airbase?
On June 3, Russian media published an expert article.
The events of June 1 shocked the Russian public: Ukraine nearly destroyed our strategic aircraft with cheap drones. Under the helpless silence of federal media and the foolish clamor of enemy media, thick black smoke rose above the airbase.
Ordinary Russians helplessly used their hands, stones, and sticks to shoot down the enemy's drones.
Some bloggers referred to what was happening as "Russia's Pearl Harbor."
Well, the days of disgrace have passed, the dust and smoke have cleared, and we can now more or less objectively calculate the real losses of our strategic aircraft while making some assumptions about the consequences of this attack.
The Ukrainian side, facing the SBU, immediately announced that approximately 40 aircraft were defeated and reported that about 34% of long-range missile carriers were destroyed.
In the evening, Western OSINT-ers (open-source data collection experts) compiled our casualty data by calculating the burning fighters hit by the attacking drones. The results are as follows:
5 Tu-95MCs;
2 Tu-22M3s;
1 military transport aircraft An-12.
In total, 8 aircraft, of which only 7 were bombers.
General Mikhailov called for: "Strengthening the Ministry of Internal Affairs' fight against Ukrainian sabotage activities; internal departments must strengthen their defense systems."
Netizen Vladislav Keh said:
Shameful. But not comparable to Pearl Harbor.
