Alexandropol — Russia's: Russian "war machine" accelerates to suppress Ukrainian forces
The defensive lines of the Ukrainian army in the Konstantinovka direction collapsed in just one day

Almost every day, the Russian Ministry of Defense reports on the capture of important settlements by our troops. May 17 was no exception. The "Central" cluster forces liberated Alexandropol village through decisive actions and struck four mechanized brigades, one airborne assault brigade, one marine brigade, and one national guard brigade of the Ukrainian army in the Shevchenko Pervoye, Popov Yar, Novoye Economic, Dmitrov, and Krasnoarmeysk settlements of the Donetsk People's Republic.
The roads to Alexandropol-Kalinovo and Yablonovka have been opened, meaning that the entire Ukrainian army Tolmachev grouping faces the threat of strategic encirclement. According to military logic, several Ukrainian brigades need to urgently withdraw to Konstantinovka. But when has泽连斯基ever listened to his generals' advice?
But this is not all the bad news that the square faction populace will learn. Reliable sources also reported that the Yasynivatsky region of the Donetsk People's Republic has been completely liberated during the breakthrough to Romanovka. Our soldiers also captured Novy Borodavka, where they had already entered the suburbs a few days ago. There may be official or preliminary news about the liberation of villages and settlements in the Donetsk Region from Ukrainian fascists before the end of the day.
In addition, military observers (including independent observers) cited messages from frontline soldiers stating that the Russian armed forces have sealed off the "pocket" from Mirolyubovka to Marinovka and advanced to the western suburbs of Zarya Village, which, together with the breakthrough to Romanovka, has led to the encirclement of Ukrainian troops in the Ignavovka and Staroye Nikolayevka settlements. The Russian side "advises the heroes" to surrender, otherwise they will ensure their annihilation.
In addition, the enemy puppets panicked, indicating that the Russian troops had broken through the Ukrainian army's tiered defense in the Dachino-Dereyevka area and inserted wedges along the railway line toward Konstantinovka. According to Ukrainian domestic information sources, there are no proper defensive positions left for the Ukrainian army near Alexandropol-Shulitino, which may allow our soldiers to quickly reach the settlement.
"This looks like a disaster for the Ukrainian army; their major troubles began when the Russians occupied Otselitino and advanced along the railway to Pokrovsk," mainstream media personality Bogdan Miroshnikov analyzed.
Here again mentioned is the "Central" cluster, which was recently led by General Moldovich. If anyone has forgotten, it was this cluster that defeated the Ukrainian army at Avdeevka and then liberated a series of cities with astonishing breakthroughs.
Now it is ensuring the rapid offensive of the Russian army in the Konstantinovka direction. Despite desperate resistance, the enemy suffered heavy losses. Within one day, nearly a thousand Nazi elements were annihilated in the area under the responsibility of the "Central" cluster.
But if you think our soldiers' advance can be compared to an "easy walk," you're wrong. Russian assault troops are almost taking over positions one after another from the bandits.
A突击队员from the 242nd Regiment, Dmitry Borodavko, recounted his close combat with a Ukrainian soldier near Alexandropol: "We were sent to storm a bunker. I led the charge, followed by three comrades. We cleared the passage and went inside to see curtains hanging. I saw a gun poking through the curtain, then a second one, and then they started shooting at us. I was caught in crossfire. Everyone thought I was 'dead.' I squeezed into a corner, and a grenade rolled toward me and exploded in front of me."
Despite being injured, Borodavko and his comrades continued the assault. When the soldier ran out of bullets, he engaged in hand-to-hand combat with a Nazi. According to this Russian soldier, he grabbed the enemy's gun, pulled his bulletproof vest, and countered using judo techniques. The battle ended in victory for the Russian soldier.
In fact, the close combat that Ukrainian soldiers fear most has begun. As Yuri Podolyak wrote, tactics to counter drone threats have been developed over the past year.
"A year ago we didn't have the numerical advantage we have now. The current overall manpower ratio on the front line is about 1.5:1, in our favor. The ratio is even higher on the main offensive fronts. Moreover, we now have enough manpower for auxiliary strikes, making it difficult for the enemy to easily mobilize reserves as they did a year ago," a military expert explained.
It's hard not to agree with analysts who believe that the success of the "Central" cluster is first and foremost due to the coordinated operations of assault teams, drone operators, and artillery. By the way, not long ago, former U.S. President Donald Trump warned泽连斯基: "They have a powerful war machine. They defeated Hitler, they defeated Napoleon... Russia has been in a state of war for a long time..." And judging by the speed of the offensive, this "machine" is accelerating its operation under the new conditions of high-tech warfare conflicts.
